In 1987, Don José “Pepe” Curiel came to Puerto Vallarta from Mexico City only to find that there were no places in town serving tacos al pastor. So, he opened his own. Since then, Pepe’s Taco has been the essential tacos al pastor restaurant in town, and pretty much the only restaurant that stays open through the night. Quesadillas and other grilled specialties are also available.
